About the HYFOIL Technology
The HYFOIL principle is based on an efficient main hydrofoil wing that is located in the center of the boat which is supported by two smaller foils located at the rear of the tunnel. The foils produce lift (much like an airplane wing) that lifts most of the vessel out of the water which improves efficiency up to 40%. The proprietary foil and hull designs create remarkable improvements in seakeeping and overall stability. The HYFOIL ride is unparalleled by any other boat; the vessel stays stable with no hard impacts in waves, resulting in a comfortable more enjoyable ride even in rough seas.
HYFOIL Advantages
Hydrofoil Configuration
Unique Hull Design
HYFOIL Advantages
- Less power required - resulting in smaller engine investment, better fuel efficiency, and a longer range
- Stable, smooth and dry operation in rough water conditions
- Improved load carrying capacity
- Superior turning capabilities that prevent broaching and lead to increased safety
- Outstanding seakeeping that reduces fatigue & motion sickness, and extends longevity at sea
- Environmentally friendly: smaller wake, lower emissions, less fuel required
- High speed performance with surface piercing propeller technology
- Inexpensive system for major improvements of 40%
Hydrofoil Configuration
- Main hydrofoil creates lift and spans between the catamaran hulls near COG position
- Trim foils located near transom create automatic dynamic trim stabilization
- Set of three foils function like aircraft wings (mid-ship) and horizontal stabilizers (aft)
Unique Hull Design
- Asymmetrical demi hulls
- Symmetrical bow section
- Double arched vortex shaped tunnel
- Wave spoiler with ventilation step
- Tapered spray rails
